As a qualified massage therapist and aromatherapist, I have often given my dog Hazel a massage, adapting my human massage knowledge and making up a little routine. I mostly do gentle stroking and circular movements and she loves it!
I came across this book entitled "Canine Massage and Stretching" and thought it would be good to try some of the stretching movements too. Hazel has suffered cruciate ligament injury in the past and sometimes has some stiffness, so I thought the gentle stretches would be beneficial. It is very important not to force any movement so I tried it extremely gently. She enjoyed it and I think that done regularly it will help with suppleness and mobility.
You may wish to check this out and give it a try for your dog.

I cannot find this book anywhere. Any suggestions? "Canine Massage and Stretching: A Dog Owner's Manual"

Hi Sharon
I did a Google search and came up with a couple of suppliers. It seems that Amazon don't have it at the moment. Not sure where you are located but a google search for your country may throw up a result. Try this link for a US supplier: http://leerburg.com/974.htm
Kind regards,
